WELCOME TO THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR! 

Dear Oceano Students and Families,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year! My name is Joshua Herrera, and I'm the proud principal of Oceano Elementary School. This marks my fourth year at Oceano, and my fourteenth year leading amazing schools.

This year, our classrooms will become excavation sites of discovery as we dig deeper into the fascinating world of dinosaurs, the Earth, geology, volcanoes, fossils, and rocks. Together we will uncover amazing facts, explore scientific wonders, and spark curiosity that will help our students grow as lifelong learners.

Just like all scientists, each day we will enourage our students to become brave explorers, thoughtful investigators, and enthusiastic question-askers.
