About Us

Oceano Elementary School is well known for having an excellent teaching staff who consistently demonstrate that they are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of all students. Grade-level team collaboration and differentiated instructional approaches ensure enrichment for students beyond grade level. The Oceano Elementary School staff have high expectations for all students and guide them to become productive members of the community through ongoing social-emotional learning. We are proud to be dolphins!

Our Kids First

Governed by a seven member Board of Education, Lucia Mar proudly educates more than 10,000 students who attend Lucia Mar’s eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, one independent student study school, and one adult education program. Ongoing partnerships with community colleges, state universities, and local businesses also provide an important role in educational improvement.
